MEET THE DOCTORS

Ronald J. Molinari D.D.S. was born on Long Island, N.Y. and raised in Franklin Square. He attended The Ohio State College of Dentistry and graduated in 1987. Dr. Molinari completed his internship at The Catholic Medical Center Of New York  before joining the Island Dental team, subsequently becoming a partner of the practice in 2000. In 2021, we were honored to congratulate Dr. Molinari on receiving The American Dental Association Lifetime Achievement Award. He enjoys his time at home with his wife, children and 4 rescue dogs. 

Steven Hershenhorn D.D.S. was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y. He attended The NYU College of Dentistry and graduated in 1992. He then completed his residency at The Brooklyn VA Medical Center. Following his residency, Dr. Hershenhorn started treating patients in a private practice and joined the Island Dental team in 1998 where he became a partner in 2004. In his free time he enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Seth Blum D.DS. grew up on Long Island and graduated from Syosset High School. He earned his B.A. in biology from Tauson University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Stonybrook University.  He then completed residency at Nassau University Medical Center. There, he had extensive implant, restorative, endodontic and cosmetic training. He is also certified for clear aligner orthodontics. Dr. Blum has been treating patients at Island Dental since 2005 and became a partner of the practice in 2019. In his spare time, Dr. Blum enjoys spending time with his wife, his two sons and his two dogs. He enjoys dancing, fitness and he is the BIGGEST New York Giants fan you will every meet! (Yes...a bigger fan than Dr. Dowse!)

Edward Dowse D.D.S. was born and raised in Bayshore New York. From 2010-2014 he attended Kings College in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Neuroscience. Immediately following Undergraduate training, he attended The NYU College of Dentistry and graduated in 2019. After graduation, Dr. Dowse completed 2 years of residency and an internship in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and General Practitioner Residency. Dr. Dowse enjoys baking and exercising. He is a very big New York Giants fan!

Oleg Zusin D.D.S. attended The Stonybrook College of Dentistry and graduated in 1997 with his DDS degree.  He then went back to Stonybrook College of Dentistry to obtain his specialty degree in Periodontics in 2001.  Dr. Zusin has been treating patients at Island Dental Group since 2017. He is fluent in the Russian language. In his free time, Dr. Zusin enjoys many outdoor activities including mountain biking and surfing. He also loves spending time with his children.
